About Us
We have been selling books online for the past 5 years but have been collecting books since 1970 when we were first married. Our collection is up to about 10000 volumes at the moment and covers all sorts of topics - topography, literature, biography, history and others. We are very proud of our personal collections of Ruskin, John Cowper Powys, James Joyce, Sheridan Le Fanu, Welsh topography, the Brontes and Oxford World’s Classics.
We live in a medieval barn (complete with bluebell wood) deep in the rural Lune Valley near Lancaster close to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Naturally, it’s overflowing with books. Along with the books, we have 2 cats that keep the mice down and a brand new, beautiful grandson.
