- We here at High Low Lofts are a father and daughter team. The lofts are located on my seven acres in a rural area of South Brunswick , NJ. Dad has been racing since 1989. He has had pigeons his entire life from when he lived in a small town in Yugoslavia, which was formerly Hungary before the WWII, and then in the US after moving here in 1956. He mainly raised fancies and flew his high flyers, and tipplers. As a kid growing up I was always close to dad...so whatever dad did, I was not far behind!! I guess you can call me his "cling-on". We did everything together from fishing to hunting, and now the pigeons. I got more involved with them in 1996. Before that I was just the loft cleaner, waterer, and feeder, and breeding record keeper, as he had a partner he flew with. In 1996, I became his partner, and have loved every minute of it! I find these birds amazing and have a respect for their abilities. Sitting outside on race day and spotting a bird high in the sky with its wings folded rocking as it dives down to the landing board makes all the time and hard work we put into them worthwhile.
