A funny thing happened when I came to visit Hilton Head Island in 1991 on vacation. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean, the sun splashed beaches, the lush vegetation and the friendliness of everyone I met. I realized that I didn't want to venture back to the crowded and hectic atmosphere of Chicago where I had been born and raised and sold real estate for 14 years. I had discovered a new way of life and it was clear that this unique community, with its laid back lifestyle and picturesque setting was the ideal place to call home. It took me two years before I found an opportunity that allowed me to move.
My genuine passion for Hilton Head Island and the surrounding communities is just as strong today as it was when I arrived 13 years ago. That is because I learned early on to appreciate what a truly special lifestyle this wonderful environment has to offer local residents.
Whether its spending time with my husband, daughter and her 2 granddaughters, or working on my career as a leading real estate professional, I never lose sight of the fact that life was meant for living.
