Mr. Osio is a native of Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Southern California and the Law Center with a Juris Doctor Degree. He is was an active member of the California State Bar for 40 years. He served as the Chairman and CEO of Teachers Management and Investment Corporation of which he was the cofounder. During his tenure, TMI developed a statewide part time sales network among teachers throughout California with a real estate portfolio approaching $1 billion. He was the Managing Director of a Mexico-based subsidiary of a Fortune 500 NYSE-listed company. As a real estate developer from 1975 to 1988, he built and managed over 2 million square feet of office-industrial parks. Currently, he serves on the Board of Hispanic Corporation of America, a private investment banking firm. For the past ten years he has been immersed in Information Technology and Telecommunications. Mr. Osio is a frequent lecturer and featured speaker on topics related to U.S-Mexico relations and issues relating to the U.S. Hispanic market. For 10 years he was a Director and Vice-Chairman of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation and a Director of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce. He was selected by ex-Governor Gray Davis as the California’s private sector representative to the Friends of Mexico Organization co founded with President Vicente fox of Mexico. For over 30 years he has been a member of the Jonathan Club in Los Angeles. He lives in Palos Verdes with Ursula, his wife of 38 years.

Patrick Osio is the Editor of HispanicVista.com — an Internet weekly publication for which he also writes a weekly column. His articles are distributed by Knight Ridder Tribune News Service to over 400 newspapers throughout the United States. Additionally, Mr. Osio authors a monthly column, The Connection, for the San Diego Metropolitan Magazine, which has brought him 5 awards from the SD Society of Professional Journalists. For over 15 years, he was a consultant to the private and public sector on trans-border business and economic affairs. He is a frequent lecturer on U.S.-Mexico issues and a frequent guest on radio talk shows. Hispanic Media selected him as one of the 100 Best Hispanic Journalists in the United States in 2002. In 2003, Hispanic Media selected Mr. Osio as one of the 50 Most Influential Hispanic Journalists in the United States. Also in 2003, the San Diego California Chicano News Media Association (CCNMA) honored Mr. Osio with the La Pluma Lifetime Achievement Award. On October 2004, the South San Diego County Economic Development Council presented Mr. Osio with the Binational Endeavor Award for his many years in promoting better relations and economic development between the US and Mexico. His articles have appeared in such publications as The Globalist, Los Angeles Times, the Miami Herald, The Houston Chronicle, Detroit Free Press, San Diego Union-Tribune, El Paso Times, The New Mexican and numerous others as well as in leading newspapers in Mexico. Mr. Osio was born in California. He lived — and attended schools — in Mexico City and Los Angeles, California. He has lived in San Diego, California, since 1982 with his wife of 42 years. Mr. Osio is the author of “The Mexican Perspective,” a book on the culture and protocol for better relationships between the peoples of the United States and Mexico.
