Hivelogic’s Narrator is Dan Benjamin: developer, designer, and writer. He is the principal of Automatic, an agency that builds custom web applications, free utilities like the Enkoder, and publishing tools like the A List Apart CMS.
In addition to updating Hivelogic almost daily, Dan is the Managing Producer and Systems Developer for A List Apart, a web magazine for people who make websites. He also designed and built their custom CMS using Ruby on Rails.

Gladly. Dan began using computers when he was a kid. He has used, programmed and networked just about every machine from the first Apple II's, to the latestSparc's and PC's, and everything in between. In a few cases, he seemed to be good at it. Despite recent industry achievements, he still believes computing perfection was attained with the Commodore 64.
