After living and working from a 3 acre property in Whenuapai for 14 years, Geoff, a company director, and Jennifer, a ceramicist and novelist, moved to Akaroa in 2001 where they have opened a gallery called La Folie Jolie.
La Folie Jolie houses Jennifer's ceramic studio, a gallery specialising in her work, other quality New Zealand ceramics and exclusive French imports, Geoff's picture framing business.
