Description
Alongside the proposed hospital closures and cuts, a number of other measures are to be introduced in order to cut costs further. These include:
Reducing staffing and/or opening hours at Minor Injury Units to reflect periods of low demand at Dilke Memorial, Berkeley and Tewkesbury Hospitals (and consideration given to North Cotswolds)
Concentration of relatively low-volume and specialist inpatient surgical services at either Gloucestershire Royal Hospital or Cheltenham General Hospital for oral and maxillofacial, vascular, gynaecology and urology departments.
