The Seattle/King County Coalition for the Homeless (SKCCH) was formed in 1979 and is one of the oldest homeless coalitions in the country. We are a coalition of organizations and individuals working together to provide adequate and appropriate emergency responses, address the causes and break the cycle of homelessness.
Advocate for important resources such as Section 8 funding and work with local housing authorities and other low-income housing providers to ensure they are serving people at the lowest income levels, as well as those who experience multiple barriers.
In 2005, SKCCH members are committed to taking concrete actions to end homelessness. We will strive towards this vision by way of the following activities:
