Hipshow is only half a mile up the lane from Mill Raise. We are a family run business which caters for all riding abilities and ages.
scenery, and meeting lots of new friends (humans and animals), Hipshow is the perfect holiday destination for you. This is an animal lovers paradise, as the stables are only part of the farmyard. You will meet lots of characters like William the pygmy goat, who thinks he's a dog. We have lots of cows and calves, my Mum's pride and joy; four cats (I think?!); Gunner the huge Alsation; Clause the puppy; and Ella, my sister's scruffy mutt. Albert the lurcher and Paddy Proctor are my dogs and they live at Mill Raise. There are also hundreds of doves, hens, ducks and cockerels. Oh, and an African grey parrot, a small green parrot and a cockatiel or two.....
When you visit Hipshow Riding Stables, you will find a friendly welcoming family; either sit back and relax, or join in with every aspect of the riding school, e.g. helping to get the horses down from the fields, brushing and tacking up, etc.
