I am David Goldstein, this is my blog, and the first thing to know about me is that while I may sometimes act like a horse's ass, I am not the Horse's Ass.
In January of 2003, I filed Initiative 831, seeking to officially proclaim anti-tax entrepreneur Tim Eyman a Horse's Ass. A conscientious political press corp, weary of Tim's outrageous antics, turned its coverage to my outrageous antics, and a statewide grassroots movement was born.
Okay, maybe "movement" is too strong a word. But a couple hundred people did donate over $4000.00 to my joke initiative, and gathered nearly 50,000 signatures before a humorless Attorney General managed to get an equally humorless judge to issue an injunction that stopped our campaign.
