When Hospice of Saint John was founded in 1977, by Father Paul von Lobkowitz, O.S.J., it was the second inpatient hospice program in the United States. Since then, the Hospice of Saint John has provided care for over 20,000 patients and their families. The Hospice of Saint John proudly offers an innovative, award-winning program. Years of experience have translated to knowledge, continuity and quality.
The Hospice of Saint John is more than just a facility. It is a program that seeks to provide continuity of care to encourage and enable individuals to live to the limits of their horizons. Our staff vigorously strives to provide excellence in patient care, while spearheading research and education efforts in the areas of palliative care and end-of-life issues.
