Howard Hall Will Receive Kodak Vision Award
LOS ANGELES, March 27, 2006--Howard Hall will receive the Kodak Vision Award here at the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) conference on March 30 at the Universal CityWalk IMAX(R) Theatre.
"This tribute is presented annually to an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to advancing the art of large format visual storytelling," says Beverly Pasterczyk of Kodak's Entertainment Imaging Division. "Howard Hall is a visionary producer, director and cinematographer who has mastered the art of creating stories for large format screens. His natural history films have made an indelible impression on millions of fans."
Hall graduated from San Diego State University in 1974 with a degree in zoology. He was a diving instructor in the San Diego area from 1972 until 1978 when his career segued into specializing in underwater cinematography and photojournalism. Hall has worked on six IMAX films, three as director and an additional three as director of underwater cinematography.
