Description
The Hwange Conservation Society was established in 1992 to help protect the wildlife and environs of the Hwange National Park - Wankie as it used to be known in Zimbabwe, formely Rhodesia. It is a fully registered British based charity ,No. 1036153 and is run on a complete voluntary basis therefore all monies raised go direct to help the park and we channel all money through totally reliable contacts in Zimbabwe or send equipment and other donations out with friends or members which saves on transport or postage costs. Some of our projects and donations include the following:
Donation of a second-hand Land-Rover to a school to enable the pupils to visit the park and learn about conservation work
Provision of vehicle maintenance training for National Parks employee, including provision of tools, overalls and help with living costs during training.
