They perform a combination of Jazz, Rock, Latin, and Hip Hop. Cosine: A refreshing mixture of smooth and sexy vocals, Latin rhythms, and percussive bass. Then top that off with hot guitar licks, and you have Cosine. Mark Brooks, the guitarist for Cosine was formerly a guest artist on the recording of "Backlash" for the single "Soft and Easy". The recording was used as a signature song for the radio station WHUR's "Quiet Storm".
Edward Brooks, the drummer, and percussionist, recorded with "Backlash" and frequently sits in with local and national acts as well. In addition, he has recently acted in a cameo appearance in the film "The Head of State.
Tonyette Babbles, Originally from Texas, Her vocal style can best be described as strong and soulful, and she is a perfect fit for Cosine. "She captures you with her passion, and emotion, and takes you on a journey.
Tony Duncanson, percussionists, performs nationally with "Gil Scott-Heron." Cosine, and other headline acts. Tony locks in the sultry rhythms and adds the Latin flare.
Wyndel Ficklin, bass player. He is so dynamic in playing the bass. His favorite bass player is Marcus Miller. He has also performed with various artist for over 20 years.
Guest artist: Bill Davis, locally renowned for his keyboard and saxophone talent. Bill can be seen at many venues around town. He is a seasoned performer, and brings a certain je ne sais quoi to the group
