REVIEW OF ISHAPE
Sponsored by Shape Magazine, the popular fitness monthly, iShape is an interactive online program designed to provide users with a personalized fitness and exercise plan based on their goals. Users may select one appearance goal and one fitness goal. Possible appearance goals include: fat loss, firm and tone or maintain appearance. Fitness goals include: get in shape, maintain fitness, get back in shape, or improve performance. Since the program is intended to appeal primarily to Shape readers who already have a working knowledge of basic nutrition and exercise, it may not provide enough guidance for the obese or the true fitness novice.

REVIEW OF IShape
As this is a diet plan, no particular ingredients are included. Users enter in their personal details, including age, height and weight, and are asked to use the program’s calculator to estimate body fat percentage. Based on this information and their goals, customers receive a tailored fitness plan that includes cardio and strength programs, meal plans and recipes. Emails arrive daily with new routines and menus. Users are also encouraged to track their progress using iShape’s interactive features. Like all weight loss programs, iShape requires a certain amount of discipline. Workouts may be executed at a gym or at home, although once again those who have exercised previously may find the demos easier to follow. Exercise novices may prefer the step-by-step instruction of a DVD or class.
