Masquerading as impartial researchers, right-wing "think tanks" like The Heritage Foundation and The Family Research Council disseminate misinformation, distortions, and blatant lies about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people to policy makers, the news media, and the American public. They have used their so-called findings to oppose the Employment Nondiscrimination Act, adoption and parenting rights, domestic partnership benefits, same-sex marriage, and gays in the military. It is vital that we produce the unbiased, independent research that will counter these lies!
