- The 430 teams competing for the $85,450 in payouts started play at 6:00 Friday night. The new Open Masters Champion, Josh Shones, did the opening break. With 128 teams in the Open C and Open B, the tables filled and the games began. Open Masters, Ladies Masters and the Open A teams also played that night and by nights end, 300 matches had been played. Saturday morning, 8:00 AM, began with the Ladies A, Ladies B, Ladies C and the Open AA. By 10:00 AM all 200 tables were in use again. The day would end with only one match an hour behind and that was called at 11:00. The players were there to play pool. As they lost out they signed up for the "Hard luck" and 13 brackets of 8 teams later the tables filled again. We could of used more tables!!
