Introduction

The Campbell River Film Commission was formed in 1995 after the movie Scarlet Letter chose our area as a film location. The boost to the local economy was felt instantly; the circus came to town and so did the motivation to attract more productions. For years the volunteer based, non-profit film commission worked hard - and effectively - to attract productions.
