The Inches-A-Weigh weight loss program is marketed for 40 to 70 year-old women who are in reasonable traveling distance to their two New York or their two Ohio locations. Centers are located in Irondequoit or Greece, New York and Fairlawn or Mentor, Ohio. The plan consists of both dietary and exercise components to help women improve muscle tone while losing fat. The plan guarantees the loss of 8-15 inches in 3 weeks. We will take a closer look at the plan’s methods of creating weight loss to determine whether or not the advertised results may be seen.

REVIEW OF Inches-A-Weigh

Inches-A-Weigh is a weight loss program created by an unknown source, but utilized in gyms located in New York and Ohio. We are concerned that the history of this program is not given, since we are unaware of the science it was founded on. This does make it harder to review this program to determine if it is a safe and effective choice. This diet plan is broken down into three phases. The first part of the program sets up a consultation with a “lifestyle consultant” who lays out a plan, including behavior modification lessons and motivation to reach goals. This coincides with low-fat, nutritional counseling in a class format. The second and third phases include on-site exercise training and continual support to help women combat the emotional barriers to exercise, since many women in this age bracket have abandoned regular exercise programs. Unfortunately, there is no online program for this plan. We do find this disappointing since it means Inches-A-Weigh is inaccessible to the general population. Though, we are still not sure what this program entails and do wonder if it more a marketing ploy then an actual plan that will aid users in learning about proper nutrition and an adequate workout regimen. We would like to note that we believe weight loss supplements can accelerate results, especially capsule-based products. It may be best to avoid supplements that contain stimulants, like ephedrine and caffeine. We find the best and most effective formulations to be ones that contain both a patented fat burner and proven appetite suppressant.
