Home - Public Access of Indianapolis
Description edit
Public Access of Indianapolis, Inc. (PAI), an Indiana non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, was organized in 1997 by former public access producers to address the need for non-discriminatory, community access to cable television in Indianapolis.
PAI has based its organization and goals on successful and established community media access centers and public access channels around the country.
PAI came into existences as a result of cable franchise agreements signed by the City of Indianapolis and Time-Warner and Comcast that brought an end to public access production and broadcast facilities. Recognizing a need for independent, locally-produced television programming targeted toward varied interests and viewpoints, a group of former public access producers and other interested people formed PAI.
