Ingeborg Meulendijks plays with scale and perspective, operating in an undefined realm between dream and reality. Since 1997 I have been working on the project THE SECRET HOUSE, a collection of scale-models. In this project I allude to the tradition of the Kunst- und Wunderkammer, with which the 17th century collector tried to bring the world within his reach. I became fascinated by the craftmanship, the presision and atmosphere of this miniature world.
