Paresh is a born cartoonist, a prolific feature writer, an editor of a cartoon monthly, a journalist with a keen nose for news, an art director in population- oriented documentary films with aesthetic sense, a researcher and script writer.
Paresh has earned the worldwide recognition for his work as the winner of Honorable Mention in The United Nations Correspondents Association Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon award for the year 2000 in cartoon competition. He was invited to participate in the contest among the professional political cartoonists throughout the world. He is the first Indian Cartoonist to get this award.
The UNCA, in its desire to promote the highest standards of excellence in political cartoons depicting the spirit and principles of the United Nations has established this annual political award after the world's leading cartoonist, Ranan Lurie.
