Mr. William "Billy" Hamann passed away last week in Atlanta, GA while evacuating for Hurricane Gustav. Mr. Billy was one of the original members of the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club, Inc. He worked in the 4th Municipal District Assessor's Office for the City of New Orleans for over 50 years. He started working for Assessor Richard W. Burke and continued under Assessor Richard F.
