The selection of productions will give preference to new works by and about women and women's issues and reconsideration of classics with a focus on women and women's issues - With a focus on quality workmanship in all aspects of theatre, iron belly muses provides opportunity for emerging female theatre artists to develop and challenge their range of skills through actual production and a mentorship program with established theatre artists - In an effort to go beyond performance as a means of giving back to our community, iron belly muses manages a community outreach program, which provides opportunities for women to enjoy personal exploration and self-empowerment through discovery, creativity and expression
