Eyal Vanunu - stands behind the "Desert" part, finding the central Negev to be his favorite region in Israel. Eyal has surveyed most of the central Negev desert by foot and he is one of the best to know it from the birding perspective. He also takes part in different breeding and migration surveys conducted by the INPA. Eyal recently spent a year traveling and birding across Southern Africa. As a student for life sciences in Tel Aviv University, Eyal has a keen interest in other aspects of the natural world as well.
Ido Tsurim -with a post graduate degree in ecology, specializing in avian and community ecology, Ido divides his time between research and birdwatching activities. Ido is a member of the IRDC and active in advancing the conservation and preservation of natural treasures in Israel and especially in the Negev. He is involved in the founding of the Northern Negev Birdwatching Center, located in Beer Sheva, his home town where he has been birdwatching since childhood. Besides birds, Ido has extensive knowledge of reptiles and mammals.
