Information Technology Industry Council
Description edit
The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) is an elite group of the nation's top high-tech companies and is widely recognized as the tech industry's most effective lobbying organization in Washington.
ITI helps member companies achieve their policy objectives through building relationships with Members of Congress, Administration officials, and foreign governments; organizing industry-wide consensus on policy issues; and working to enact tech-friendly government policies. ITI works to reduce barriers that stifle innovation, increase access to global markets, promote e-commerce expansion, protect consumer choice, and enhance the global competitiveness of our companies.
ITI has been described by The Washington Post as "well-regarded for its day-to-day lobbying skills," by Technology Daily as "the only high-tech association that compiles a comprehensive voting guide each Congress" and was the only high-tech group named as one of Washington's most effective lobbying groups in a National Journal survey of Members of Congress. ITI member companies take in a combined $580 billion in annual U.S. revenue and employ 1.7 million employees.
