Description
Jake Webster studied abroad in 1974 in Italy, France and Greece and received his Bachelor of Science in 1975 from Mississippi Valley State University in Art Education. He continued his studies at Purdue University Summer Institute, The Art Students League of New York, and DePaul University – Office of Applied Innovations.
Jake has always remained active in the art community and has taught in the South Bend Community School Corporation (IN) and special education to adults at Logan Industries (IN). He has also conducted workshops for grades K-12 and for the handicapped at many locations, including the Cinque Gallery (NY) and the Colfax Cultural Center (IN).
Currently Jake expresses himself as a sculptor of wood and stone at the Studio II in Elkhart, Indiana. His studio is usually open to the public on weekends and by appointment. Jake is also available as a workshop instructor or consultant.
