About me - James Shearer
Who am I? I was born in east London on the 27th January 1981. I lived on the edge of London, then moved to Kingussie in the Highlands of Scotland. I have also lived in Tain, Ross-shire, Scotland; Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire, Scotland; North Bay, Ontario, Canada; Avoch on the Black Isle, North Scotland; Inverness, Scotland; Fort William, West Coast of Scotland; and now the beautiful city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.
I studied for Architecture but left that behind when I started my own business, Cali Net, in Spring 1998. During my time there I spent a lot of time travelling around the UK on business and working with very talented people on many fantastic and industry revolutionising projects.
I spent a year travelling and then went to work for Cap Gemini Ernst and Young. I worked for HotScot Technology before setting up another company - GoEffect - with Rob Hilken, a former co-worker from Cali Net, specialising in Internet Marketing for the travel industry.
