jamesthorne.net and photoze.net are back up following a prolonged downtime. I’d rebooted the machien to pick up the latest kernel but then it never came up. I’d done it remotely so I couldn’t look at the console. Eventually, I discovered that the DynDNS updater daemon, inadyn, was running in the foreground so the init script never exited. To fix it, I had to boot into single user mode and add the following to /etc/inadyn.
