- In order to improve quality assurance under construction and security in operation of the main industrial facilities such as thermal and nuclear power plant, ship building, refinery and chemical plant, this association was established as called The Japanese Association for Promotion of Non-destructive Testing(JPNDT) in 1972、under the direction of Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI)「Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI), as re-organized today」、so that the purpose of the association is to promote the development of non-destructive testing services by using advanced examination technologies with Radiographic Testing(RT), Ultrasonic Testing(UT), Magnetic particle Testing(MT), Eddy Current Testing(ET), Liquid Penetrant Testing(PT), Strain Measurement(SM) and so on which are applied to inspect the structures and facilities without impairing its future usefulness.
