The professional practice of Jed Friend, Ph.D. was founded over 35 years ago by a group of industrial-organizational (I/O) psychologists based in Florida. About fifteen years ago, Jed became the successor of this Tampa based firm. Today, he has expanded to Dallas, Texas, by providing pre-employment testing and individual effectiveness (IE) programs at the mid to senior levels, soup to nuts organizational effectiveness (OE) and talent management services, as well as appearing as an expert witness in employment/discrimination, divorce, personal injury, and medical malpractice cases.
Jed works with both the corporate and legal communities in a number of areas. A strategic expert in talent management, performance management/metrics, assessment, coaching, succession planning, and other OE areas, he has a long resume of success. The word expert is not used lightly here; it comes from extensive practical experience. He has built talent management and OE processes from scratch, overhauled existing systems, and finely tuned others. Jed has consulted with some of the world’s largest companies, and smaller organizations just starting up.
Moreover, he is deemed an expert by the legal community, having been retained in over 30 lawsuits at both the state and federal level, as it pertains to talent management, selection/testing, organizational effectiveness, and discrimination issues. Consequently, when he is invited into an organization to address processes and concerns, he brings not only a specific competency knowledge base with him, but one that include compliance.
