Jellycounter.com - Free hit counter service NO LONGER AVAILABLE
In the end of August 2006 an unknown intruder gained access to the server that hosts this (and many other) websites. While the intruder failed his attempt to take full control of the server, much of the data on it was destroyed to an extent that makes it not possible for me to continue to provide the Jellycounter service. It has taken me a while to establish how severe the situation was, as well as get a replacement server for the website and my email which has resulted in an unfortunate delay in information of the situation to you, Jellycounter users, for which I apologize.
I have provided the service for more than 5 years now. I am very sorry not being able to continue providing the service and for any inconvenience this abrupt interruption may have caused you.
I am of course prepared to reimburse subscribers which have a remaining period paid for, with one dollar per remaining month (corresponding to the part of the annual fee of twelve dollars). If you wish such reimbursement, I need information of your counter ID, PayPal email account and date of the last payment before November 30th, 2006 at latest. Please send this information to me@jellycounter.com. If you have arranged payment in any other way than PayPal, please let me know how you would preferably recieve your reimbursement.
I will investigate the data loss further in hopes of being able to provide a last snapshot of the counters statistics, but as much of the statistical data was lost in the intrusion, it currently seems unlikely that I can retrieve this data. If I find a way to recreate it, it will be announced on this page shortly.

Description
Jellycounter is a service providing counters to homepage-owners. It is a non-profit hobby-project run by me, (Yes, it's spelled with a d, I know how to spell my name ;). Tha basic service is free. The premium service is based on a yearly fee.
If you email me, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include your counter ID (if any) AND (if you have troubles with your counter) an URL to the page where I can see the counter live. Also, if your question is answered in the FAQ, I will just refer you there, so read it first.
Jellycounter.com was entirely made in windows notepad, it has been written in visual basic, perl (using gd), php, javascript and html. Right now it's a combination of javascript, php and mysql making the site work.
