Dr. Peter-John Gordon, an Economist, has been Commissioner of the Fair Trading Commission since January 1996 and was appointed Chairman in March 2002.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Boston University, a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Sciences in Economics from the University of the West Indies.
Prior to joining the PIOJ, Dr. Gordon lectured at the University of the West Indies between 1982 - 1986 and 1993 - 1999. He also worked with the Jamaica National Export Corporation (JNEC) holding various positions, which include Trade Commissioner to Caricom.
