I'm a fifth year Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at UC Berkeley, working with the Visualization Lab and Berkeley Institute of Design. My advisor is Maneesh Agrawala. I am also an alumnus of the User Interface Research Group at PARC, Inc. (formerly Xerox PARC), the Visual Communication Lab at IBM Research, and Tableau Software, a visualization start-up in Seattle. My research interests span Human-Computer Interaction, New Media studies, Cognitive Science, Computer Systems, and Pseudo (aka Artificial) Intelligence. I am also the author of prefuse, a software toolkit for building information visualization applications.
