- In 1995 Jimmy and his father Kenny wanted to build a golf car that was cute and most of all unique for their own use. The idea was to build a 50's body design that was made by hand that would bring back some memories of the 50's. In doing this during the early stages in building, Jimmy's son Zack would always ask is this my kar? Kenny would always say yes this is your kar! This is how the name came for the little classic (Zack kar). The first kar was built in the middle of 1996 and was taken to a local kar show's for transportation around the show and while it seemed to be a big hit and people would ask, were did you get that cute little kar? This is how it all happen, and still today the request still keep coming for the original designed Zak kar.
