Description
Michael Gallacher was born in 1957, the son of Glasgow Portrait Painter William Gallacher and Still Life painter Nita Begg. Since early childhood, Michael has been creative in art, woodwork and design. In fact, Michael could draw and paint almost before he could read and write, having been heavily influenced by his parents' talents in art.
During his school years, Michael became very interested in technical drawing, woodwork and interior design. His particular talents shone out from the crowd in terms of his innovation and creativity, and he has been awarded prizes for art on many different platforms.
In order to achieve some qualifications in his chosen areas of expertise Michael studied Woodworking and Construction, and gained his Scottish Vocational Qualification, through night school study, over a period of three years.
