Washington Post reporting that the Coast Guard has ended its search for Philip Merrill, an Annapolis based publisher and philanthropist with a long record of public service. Merrill was reported missing over the weekend when his sailboat was found adrift and unmanned in the Chesapeake Bay. Merrill was a major supporter of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation among other notable causes.
