Jones Golding was formed in 1988 in response to a need for practical hands-on support and financial advice to high technology rapidly growing businesses in the Cambridge area. Since then, the firm has expanded and its client base now ranges from small start-up businesses to companies with turnover of up to £20M.
Peter graduated from Oxford University and qualified as a chartered accountant in the London office of a large national practice. He moved to Cambridge in 1982 to become financial controller of two high technology Cambridgeshire companies before returning to general practice in 1985 specialising in fundraising and corporate services with a new Cambridge office of a national firm. In 1988, he left to form Jones Golding and over the years has gained a wealth of experience, assisting clients with sales and acquisitions of businesses, helping to raise equity and bank finance and general business advice.
Lawrence graduated from London University and also qualified as a chartered accountant in the London office of a large national practice. In 1985, he moved to Cambridge and formed Jones Golding with Peter in 1988. He specialises in assisting small and rapidly growing companies overcome the financial, accounting and tax problems that they face.
