Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JASOD is a socialist party. Our struggle is to achieve socialism by Democratic Means upholding Multi Party Democracy. JASOD was founded on 31st of October 1972 as the first opposition political party of newly born Bangladesh, led by a group of patriotic freedom fighters, youth leaders and intellectuals. JASOD took part in the first Parliamentary election of Bangladesh in 1973 and became the first Parliamentary opposition group in Bangladesh National Parliament.
