- git and mercurial are two very modern source code management tools. They allow offline operation, scalable and fast setups and are both key for Open Source development. To follow the Fedora Core development projects, a cronjob is downloading every 4 hours the newest data from upstream projects and is also migrating cvs projects into git repositories. You can then mirror all that data onto your laptop for offline work or use the gitweb interface to quickly check the current status in case FC-development has broken your setup and you want to help fixing bugs.
