- KandiLyons was first thought of in mid 2006. The name and logo just “popped” up into the head of the founder while driving home from work. Many ideas were thought of to match the KandiLyons name and logo, all of them were related to children. Then the idea of an online and paper catalog was dreamed up. Since the founder had very little finances to start up business, and felt that a loan was out of the question, the founder felt that something simplistic in the beginning was best. Lots of work went into creating KandiLyons, not all ideas have been applied and many are to be added as the company grows. By February of 2007 KandiLyons was officially opened for business, although she wasn’t ready. She started out with a small line of products and many unfinished projects. As time creeps along KandiLyons knows that she will grow into a self-functioning organization. One of the goals at the very beginning was to donate to Charitable Causes. This goal still stands today. Even though KandiLyons is still in her infancy her determination runs strong. KandiLyons has thought of many Charitable Causes (all involving children) and has narrowed them down to four, she hopes to start her quarterly donations by March of 2008.
