Mumbai native Kareena Kapoor comes from a Pathan family, the youngest daughter of a family of actors. Her parents are the actors Randhi Kapoor and Babita, and her grandfather was the famous Raj Kapoor, descendent of the pioneering silent movie star Prithviraj Kapoor. Kareena comes from divided home, however, as her mother took left her father after he tried to prevent Kareena and her sisters from choosing what they wanted to do.
