- May years ago saw the culmination of a dream of me and many of my friends who were studying to be vets at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Shuhama. The Society for Advancement of Veterinary Education conceived and nourished as a students' organization that came into being on the 24th of April (World Vet Day) - 1999, viz. Students for Advancement of Veterinary Education , at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Shuhama, Srinagar. The aim sought being to sensitize the veterinary fraternity towards the changing needs of the profession and to act as conduits and catalysts for future trends and perspectives. We have learnt a lot since.
