About us
The Kaw Valley Greens, a chapter of the Kansas Green Party and the international Green movement, is a group more than a political party, because we are not confined to the election cycle or the political process. The Greens understand that environmental, social and personal health are interconnected.
We are dedicated to policies that protect water quality, promote sustainable agriculture, preserve rural communities, and protect farmland against urban sprawl. We are firmly behind energy policies which stress conservation and renewable energy resources and environment-friendly transportation alternatives. And we support passage of a living wage ordinance. The Greens provide a constructive alternative for those wanting a fair, just society and a government which reflects our values and is responsive to our needs.
The Kaw Valley Greens are dedicated to using Education, Direct Action and Electoral/Legislative Action here in the local community to help our economic, social and political structures incorporate our ten key values:
