KDOC-TV signed on in October, 1982 and has a rich history among Southern California broadcast stations. KDOC was initially owned by a consortium of investors who included entertainers Pat Boone, Jimmy Durante and Fess Parker. Over the years, KDOC has aired a variety of local and syndicated programming. KDOC is perhaps best known for the groundbreaking Wally George and “The Hot Seat” show, and Request Video, a precursor to MTV’s Total Request Live.
