Description
In 1987 we purchased our first show prospect, "Rivervalley's Silver Corey", a "Ch Banchory Key Witness" son, as a young puppy. He ignited our conformation interest. "Corey" was a born showman and always had that "Look at ME" attitude. He finished quickly as a puppy, even though he was a "gangly teenager"! From there he went on to be a multi-group winner and Specialty winner. He always caught people's eye when whisking around the ring. "Corey" earned his C.D. at 2 years of age and his C.D.X. at 9 years of age. In the fall of 1997, he competed at the Atlantic Collie & Shetland Sheepdog Assoc Specialty as a veteran, and came away with B.O.S.! He was described as "A beautiful dog in exceptional condition" by the judge. "Corey" passed away peacefully in Aug '98, at the age of 12 1/2 years.
Since that time, we have purchased and championed selected Shelties from highly respected breeders both in Canada and the US, as well as producing Champion offspring under our own kennel name. We appreciate all colours, and are striving for a beautiful Sheltie, sound in mind and body. We breed about two highly pedigreed litters per year, and retain only about 6 dogs at one time. Retired ladies are placed in loving homes to live out their lives as an only dog!
