Description
Inabox Communications LLC ("Inabox") is a software development firm that focuses solely on web commbuilding, integrating community communication tools (e.g., chat, buddy lists, threaded messaging, etc.) and providing turn-key online public and private communities for ISPs, businesses and communities of interest. The majority of the founders of Inabox have been working together in the computer and communications marketplace since 1983.
Inabox's first customer was an advertising agency in the mid-west that requested an automatic web creation tool for an online directory they were building to support physicians specializing in urology. The resulting product, called MedSpinner, permitted physicians or their staffs to create and publish a physician practice website in minutes.
The company's second customer was a New York-based telephone company with an ISP service that used a modified version of Inabox's WebSiteNOW!™ product to substantially increase subscriber participation in the service's cybertown. The tool enabled the telephone company to increase community participation by its subscribers over 15% in just three weeks time.
