They sing, they yodel in harmony and display their lariat-spinning talent. Their style stays true to the original singing cowboys, while their unique sound and wonderful close harmonies make you feel as if you are hearing these songs for the first time!
Western music is a unique blend of folk, country, jazz and pop styles. KG & The Ranger add their own infectious humor and entertaining stories about the music. Ranger Rick's fascinating trick rope-spinning is reminiscent of Will Rogers, and their colorful western costumes will bring back fond memories of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Their extensive repertoire, accompanied on guitar, banjo and harmonica, includes the western classics (such as Tumbling Tumbleweeds, Cool Water and Cattle Call) plus rarer songs they have discovered in western movies and on old 78's.
From three or four shows a year when they started in 1989, their performance schedule has grown to over 150 per year. National performances have included Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO; Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival at Melody Ranch, CA; Ozarks Folk Center in Mountain View, AR; National Festival of the West in Phoenix; International Wild West Arts Convention in Las Vegas. They took their American cowboy show to Italian audiences in 1998. They also lead workshops on yodeling, rope-spinning, song arranging, and the history of western songs.
