Making lives better. . . that's what the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California strives to do for the one million people in the area affected by kidney disease.

Our approach to addressing the problems of kidney disease is multi-faceted. One aspect covers patient services programs. These programs include Public & Patient Education, Camp Programs, the Patient Emergency Fund, and Organ Donor Awareness. Brochures and information sheets are distributed to promote kidney disease prevention. Seminars, summer camps, and emergency funds are made available to patients and their families, helping them deal with life's changes that kidney disease brings.

We also provide professional education programs and seminars to keep healthcare professionals up-to-date on all practices involving kidney disease, dialysis, and urinary tract diseases. We currently fund several research fellowships which are actively studying and discovering the cures to kidney disease.
