Jaclyn D’Arcy is a straight-A student (10th grader) at Merit Academy. She was the youngest member of the hydrogen fuel cell team that provided demonstrations at the NHA Conference in Washington, DC, the Renewable Energy Caucus, Eco Expo, universities, and high schools across the United States. She was featured on the cover of Solar Today magazine and in dozens of articles in magazines and newspapers such as Popular Mechanics, NHA Newsletter, Santa Cruz Sentinel, and more. Jaclyn was featured in several documentaries on hydrogen fuel cells and interviewed on radio and TV stations. She published her first book: The Genealogy of Jaclyn Tatsui D’Arcy when she was 7 years old (UCSC’s Special Collection Library) and has also finished her latest book The Coolest Braid Designs. She has published dozens of articles about her many projects. She is currently writing articles on teen issues for a local newspaper. Jaclyn also dances on an award-winning competition dance team in her home town of Santa Cruz, California. She spends all of her free time and reserves her heart for her dog Radar.
